Life is Erotic by Design

A Story About the Relationship between Eros & Coherence

A love letter for those whose roots are learning to drink from a new soil: tender, holy, alive.

I’m writing today with a soft smile, inspired by a few recent reflections shared by women I’ve worked with in private sessions.
They described a surprising resurgence of desire.
An increase in libido.
And in some cases… nocturnal waves of deep, unbidden pleasure.

None of them came to me explicitly to explore sexuality.
They came to exhale.
To lift the weight of old structures off their shoulders.
To come home to themselves.
To discover new ways of resourcing, to move through life in rhythm with nourishment.

But Life is erotic by nature.
To live awake in the body is, by design, to touch rapture.

Many of us, however, were born into soil that could not hold the fullness of our tenderness.
Patriarchal values set the pace and tone.
And so we learned to reach for nectar outside the chalice of our own being.

This was not a mistake.
It was a sacred orchestration.
Our souls came to compost the old paradigm.
And what better way to do so than to feel the contrast fully?

While others extended branches skyward from roots planted in the world’s scaffolding,
we were called underground—
to tend the soil itself.
To weave a new bed for life to root in.
This may look like slowness.
But it is not lack.
It is a deeper rhythm.
And it is profoundly needed now.

If you recognize yourself in these words—
a being birthing a new ecology where innocence and Eros may thrive—
I meet you in a quiet bow.

And I offer this reminder:
You do not need to thrive in environments not made for you.
This is not failure.
It is discernment.
It is refinement.

If you find yourself at the threshold—
where old ways cannot carry you forward,
and the new has not yet taken form—
I welcome you into sanctuary.
